I studied Arts & Crafts with specialization in jewelry at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, from 1980 to 1985. My teachers were Antoni Nadal and Ramón Puig Cuyàs.
The 80s were times of change at Massana jewelry classroom, so experimentation with new materials were imposed as philosophy of life.
In 1984 I met bamboo as a noble material: hard, light, resistant, flexible, durable, harmonious, sustainable… discovering each of these features with patience and dedication.
Although my artistic activity has mostly focused on jewelry, in recent times I am changing the format to mobile sculptures, where I can take advantage of and enhance the characteristics of bamboo.
